Network Security and Firewall Specialist

Job Summary

The Edge Partnership is seeking a skilled Network Security and Firewall Expert to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network security infrastructure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.

Key Responsibilities
• Firewall Management: Evaluate and optimize our firewall configurations to align with industry best practices and our organization's security policies.
• Access Control: Ensure that only necessary traffic is allowed and unauthorized traffic is blocked.
• Rule Management: Check the order of rules to ensure they are in the correct sequence and the matching rule is applied.
• Documentation: Document and review any changes made to the configurations, firewall rules, requests, approvals, and denials.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with IT and security teams to understand and address any firewall or network security-related issues.
• Security Analysis: Analyze and resolve security challenges and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Industry Trends: Stay abreast with firewall management and network security-related industry trends and best practices.
• Process Improvement: Provide prudent recommendations to ensure continuous improvements to our firewall management process and policies.

Role Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related discipline.
• Certification: Possess Firewall Certification, such as CCSA, CCSE, Palo Alto, NSE.
• Experience: Excellent firewall security and management experience with good awareness around ports, protocols, and computer networking concepts.
• Skills: Advanced knowledge and understanding of Network Security Filtering, Linux script languages, and experience in Algosec, Tufin tools.
• Communication: Ability to analyze and address complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Teamwork: A team player with experience to collaborate and interact with diverse stakeholders.
• Interpersonal: Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
