Cybersecurity Specialist with Firewall Expertise

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at The Edge Partnership. In this role, you will be responsible for managing firewalls and ensuring the security of our network.

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be working closely with our IT and security teams to evaluate access control rules, ensure firewall configurations align with industry best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate existing access control rules to ensure only necessary traffic is allowed and unauthorized traffic is blocked.
• Check the order of rules to ensure they are in the correct sequence and the matching rule is applied.
• Document and review changes made to configurations, firewall rules, requests, approvals, and denials.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to understand and address any firewall or network security-related issues.
• Analyze and resolve security challenges and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Stay abreast with firewall management and network security-related industry trends and best practices.

Role Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with computer science, information technology, or related discipline.
• Possess Firewall Certification, such as CCSA, CCSE, Palo Alto, NSE.
• Excellent firewall security and management experience with good awareness around ports, protocols, and computer networking concepts.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of Network Security Filtering.
• Knowledge in Linux script languages and experience in Algosec, Tufin tools are preferred.
• Ability to analyze and address complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• A team player with experience collaborating and interacting with diverse stakeholders.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
