The Department
The Customer Strategy, Insights, and Innovation (CSII) Division is dedicated to cultivating customer-centric capabilities across the Club ecosystem and shaping customer strategies that drive business growth. Through a data-driven approach, the Division strives to achieve a 360-degree understanding and insights of owners, members and wagering customers, enabling the seamless design of end-to-end customer experiences across online and offline channels (Racecourses and Off-course Betting Branches). This is achieved by integrating Clubwide customer data onto a unified platform, creating a single view of our customers that empowers us to deliver personalised offers and unique experiences.
The Job
You will
• Support the departmental business planning exercises, such as the preparation of Division Operation Plan and Expenditure Authorisation Proposal (EAP). Supports stakeholders to formulate plans and actions to drive business improvement
• Prepare regular departmental operation updates to senior management
• Support divisional / cross-departmental initiatives and projects. Prepares presentation and other analytical work as required
• Assist in financial planning and analysis matters in the department, including activities such as monthly variance analysis and periodic forecast of expenditures
• Conduct analysis on financial performance on productivity, opex, capex, to ensure budget is met, savings targets are achieved, and any shortfalls / adverse trends to be spotted promptly and alert to be provided on regular basis
• Collaborate with other teams to prepare the 5-year headcount, opex and capex budget for the department annually
• Control the expenditure within the department by ensuring the expenditures are within budget and a proper expenditure claim procedure is followed through in accordance to the Club’s Finance policy
• Assist in financial activities including expenditures recharge, reclass and accrual
• Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy (RGP) and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club’s business
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager
About You
You should have
• A Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in business planning and analysis
• Experience working in organisations with diverse operations or dealing with multiple stakeholders is a plus
• Solid business acumen with strong analytical ability
• Ability to articulate insights supported by sound qualitative and quantitative justifications
• Proficient in economic valuation and financial analysis with high level strategic and critical thinking
• Proficient in visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
• Proven experience in managing and working with databases
• Strong analytical and inter-personal skills to deal with different stakeholders
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
• Good computer literacy in using Excel, PowerPoint and Word
