Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role within our IT department. The role will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects / systems / organizations, focusing on the broader landscape, structuring the big picture, defining the overall target, and aligning projects within the AXA Hong Kong landscape. This role will involve working at the Architecture Strategy level, which covers Business Architecture, Information System Architecture, and Infrastructure Architecture.

Additionally, the role will work closely with business teams and other stakeholders, drive the implementation of the defined strategy by structuring project assets, guiding the solutions structure, and creating / defining the Solution Architecture for the project when existing standards or guidelines are not sufficient. Function requirement, non-functional requirement, transitional evolution of the solution and compliance with various AXA Policies must be considered.
• Enterprise Architecture

- Define target architecture which adhere to the AXA Group standard, align with the overall business strategy and in compliance with HK enterprise architecture, security, compliance, legal, regulation, etc.

- Identify convergence opportunities to implement AXA Building Blocks (ABB) and prepare decision papers for strategic decisions.

- Focus on externalization of core system capabilities.

- Participate in architecture governance instances (Group and Hong Kong) to steer projects towards the Target Architecture in accordance with Group and Hong Kong architecture blueprints / roadmap.

- Create and maintain architecture documentations, blueprints, RFI/RFP/RFQ criteria, and foundations for Solution Architecture work.
• Solution Architecture

- Working with Enterprise Architect peers to analyze business strategy and trends and consider other Enterprise Architect viewpoints (such as business, information and solution). Remedy deficiencies in the current-state technologies to derive the future-state.

- Leading and supporting solutioning activities that guide the development and management of technical and infrastructure solutions.

- Define and present the solution options for new projects. Prepare recommendations with ballpark estimates to business users ensuring the options are aligned with business needs and strategy.

- Identify and assess various solution options from both technical architecture and business architecture perspectives to ensure recommendations are aligned with the business needs and strategy.

- Identify technology and delivery risks associated with proposed solutions to ensure that necessary measures are taken to mitigate these risks.

- Work closely with project team and key stakeholders to develop the overall solution architecture and ensure all requirements from key stakeholders are captured.

- Organizing / aligning various technical disciplines and obtain necessary sign-off.
• Technology Incubation

- Research market trends and identify upcoming solutions, conduct POC testing and report POC results to ensure solutions remain competitive against the market trends.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fields.
• Minimum 8 years relevant experience with 3+ years in solution architecture role, in which 1 year in a leadership role.
• Over 3+ years experience in finance / insurance industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g., TOGAF).
• Has sound knowledge in multiple domain and line of business (Life/Health/General Insurance/Insurance Operations).
• Wide exposure in different technologies (web, mobile app, data, cloud, AS/400, RPG, ARCAD, etc.).
• Experienced in core system modernization, particularly for Life insurance business.
• Experienced in deigning solution which leverage Azure Cloud platforms and Containerization Platform (OpenShift preferred).
• Experience in cloud first solution architecture and move to cloud.
• Proven experience in steering enterprise-wide IT systems and applications implementation.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Understanding of finance and resource estimation.
• Relevant certifications in cloud technology, enterprise architecture, cyber security or related areas would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with being organized, structured, and assertive.
• Fluent in English.
