AI Programmer / Web Programmer (Full-time/Part-time) (three posts) (Ref. 240805012)
[Appointment period: each for four to ten months]
Duties
The appointees will be appointed at the substantive level of Project Associate/Project Assistant or Project Administrative Assistant depending on the qualification and experience acquired by the appointees. The appointees will assist the project leader in the projects – “Automated video lecture processing to enhance online learning experience” / “Evaluating reflective journals by NLP to facilitate students' learning and teachers' grading” / “Rubrics-driven teaching and learning enhancement using hybrid intelligence”.
For the post of AI Programmer, the appointee will be required to:
(a) develop, implement and integrate web/mobile applications;
(b) be responsible for the development of video analytics/NLP projects;
(c) explore and recommend new AI technologies;
(d) prepare test plans, test cases and test environments for the system;
(e) prepare user manuals, demonstrations and trainings to end-users; and
(f) fine-tune the system and provide technical support by using Python, C++, C#, JavaScript, RDBMS, NLP models and/or other language models.
For the post of Web Programmer, the appointee will be required to:
(a) implement NLP projects on web and mobile applications;
(b) prepare test plans, test cases and test environments for the system;
(c) prepare user manuals, demonstrations and trainings to end-users;
(d) fine-tune the system and provide technical support; and
(e) support both frontend and backend web developments by using Python Django, Java Web, cloud services, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js and/or React.js.
Qualifications
For the post of AI Programmer / Web Programmer at the substantive level of Project Associate, applicants should have a master’s degree or a good honours degree in Computing, Information Technology or a related discipline with three or more years of research/relevant work experience.
For the post of AI Programmer / Web Programmer at the substantive level of Project Assistant, applicants should have a good honours degree in Computing, Information Technology or a related discipline.
For the post of AI Programmer / Web Programmer at the substantive level of Project Administrative Assistant, applicants should be a form five school leaver with 5 passes in HKCEE including English Language (at least Grade C if Syllabus A; Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards), Chinese Language (Level 2 if results are obtained from 2007 onwards) and Mathematics; or a combination of results in five HKDSE subjects of Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects / "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects / Grade E in Other Language subjects, and the five subjects must include English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics.
For all posts, applicants should also:
(a) have basic knowledge of software, networking and Windows/Linux OS;
(b) be proactive and able to complete job assignments independently with minimal supervision;
(c) be willing to work in a competent, challenging and team-working environment; and
(d) have good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, and fluency in Putonghua.
Preference will be given to those with experience in implementing AI on web/mobile applications.

Conditions of Service
For full-time appointment, a highly competitive remuneration package will be offered.
For part-time appointment, the remuneration rates are HK$173 per hour for the post of Project Associate, HK$122 per hour for the post of Project Assistant and HK$100 per hour for the post of Project Administrative Assistant.
