Position Overview: Mums in Science is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sponsorship Sales Representative to secure sponsorships for our global network supporting women in STEM. This commission-only role offers a generous 20% commission for each successful sponsorship, with a minimum sale of £5,000. The ideal candidate will have an existing network or the capability to generate leads independently. This is a remote position with a global reach, enabling you to connect with multinational companies that align with our mission of promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation and Outreach: Independently source, contact, and build relationships with potential sponsors, leveraging your own network or conducting outreach to suitable companies.
Sponsorship Sales: Present Mums in Science’s sponsorship opportunities, tailoring pitches to each company’s specific needs and objectives.
Negotiation and Closing: Guide sponsors through the sales cycle, negotiating terms to close deals while maintaining strong relationship management.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sponsorship activities, sales pipeline, and communications in line with company guidelines.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Mums in Science team to ensure brand alignment and to provide regular feedback on sponsorship strategy.
Requirements:
Proven experience in sales, sponsorship, or fundraising, preferably within the STEM, education, or professional networking sectors.
Strong network of contacts within global companies, or ability to effectively generate leads independently.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Self-starter with a goal-oriented mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
Passion for supporting diversity and inclusion, particularly for women in STEM.
Compensation:
Commission Only: 20% commission on successful sponsorship deals.
Minimum Sale Requirement: £5,000 per sponsorship.
