Job Purpose
St Andrew’s is a large and growing Anglican, evangelical, international church, within the Anglican Province of Hong Kong (Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui). Located on Nathan Road in the heart of Kowloon, St Andrew’s has 5 congregations in English and Putonghua. The Tech Support Specialist will be responsible for the reliable operation and security of our technological infrastructure, websites, and user computing environment, including IT and AV hardware and software.
Key responsibilities
• Offer helpdesk services (supporting 20+ users) in both office and event production environments, including hardware, software, printing, voice, LAN, WIFI, mobile devices, and audio-video and livestreaming equipment.
• Perform workstation and server maintenance, UPS monitoring, routine backup and data restoration.
• Perform user account and security administration according to church policy.
• Be the primary contact with service providers for problem calls and timely resolutions for church website, WIFI, CCTV, telecom lines, firewall, and access control system.
• Coordinate with service providers and monitor network and website performance for optimal operations.
• Assist with IT assets procurement, deployment record maintenance, and life cycle management.
• Assist with website updates and IT projects as directed.
• Maintain user manuals and training guides as directed.
Qualifications
• A committed follower of Jesus Christ.
• Degree or Higher Diploma holder in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent.
• More than 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Proven technical competency across multiple platforms and hardware/software installations: Windows, Mac OS, Linux (QNAP Directory), Google Workspace, Microsoft Office; desktop, laptop, and mobile device configurations; server backup and restoration.
• Database knowledge, website maintenance and WordPress experiences will be advantageous.
• Team player, detail-oriented, problem-solver, and good communication skills.
• Good command in written and spoken English and Cantonese.
Working Conditions
• 45 hours per week
• 14 days annual leave, plus 17 General Holidays
• Health insurance, MPF
• Salary depends on experience and qualification
