Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the appointee will be required to:
• Support the CEO in overseeing the development and implementation of research activities;
• Work with the Researchers in the project design phase to allocate manpower and equipment resources by using the project management skills;
• Liaise with the Research Managers to ensure smooth planning of future Centre Owned Projects to retain research talents;
• Be responsible for the management of manpower and other resources requirements to ensure successful completion of projects;
• Support project management systems and coordinate overall research projects to ensure smooth operations of the teams;
• Support the teams in resources allocation to ensure overall research success of the Centre;
• Monitor Centre Owned Projects, identify and communicate with management as to when and where special attention is needed;
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders on monitoring the implementation of the R&D projects; and
• perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• A bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management or a related discipline;
• 8 or more years of relevant working experience, with experience in project management being an advantage;
• A holder of Project Management certificate (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is preferred;
• Highly-organized, capable of working under pressure with multi-task assignments;
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills;
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with a good command of Putonghua being an asset.; and
• Applicants with less experience will be considered for the position of Research Operations Manager.
