Brief description of the immediate team
Advanced Analytic Team is a dedicated group of data professionals focused on leveraging BI tools such as SAP BI, Tableau and advanced analytics techniques to extract valuable insights from data. The role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP BO/Admin Analyst to join our Advanced Analytic team. The successful candidate will analyze and visualize complex data sets using SAP BO, provide actionable insights, and support data-driven decision-making across various departments. As a SAP BO/Admin Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and trends.
Responsibilities
Provide good technical skills for the specialist stream.
Providing end-to-end support (user requirements gathering, Front-end dashboard/report development in, Documentation of Metrics/Dashboards and providing end-user Training)
Assist with architecture analysis and designing of sustainable solutions; and deliver projects as part of the Group BI Programmed Team
Drive change across the business with application expertise
Work with business stakeholders in identifying business requirements for reporting projects and supporting business with any issues or incidents.
Document business requirements and deliveries in a continuous manner
Ensure timely and sustainable solutions delivered to support business requirements.
Prior experience with retail reporting and model is a plus.
Required skills set
Degree holder in Computer Science or related subjects
At least 3-4 years of relevant experience on Hands-on experience working with SAP BO Mandatory.
SAP Business Object Experience -
o Experience in Web Intelligence, Publication, Web Services
o Familiarity resolving WEBI issues such as conditional formatting, input controls, ranking, standard formatting, filters, data mapping/ reconciliation, and other report functionalities.
o Experience with BEX queries is must.
o Strong analytical mind with good communication & interpersonal skill.
o Customer-oriented; can work independently and deliver multiple small to medium size initiatives or projects.
SAP BO Administration experience –
o Patch upgrade.
o Setting up the monitoring of BO servers, auditing policies, and manage event and alerts related to CMS, Audit and Reporting Database services.
o Keep availability of BO Web applications CMC, BI Launchpad, and other applications.
o Manage user and permissions.
o Manage Universe and Connections and other BI Repository objects.
o Backup and Restore of BusinessObjects environment.
Proficient in SQL and Familiarity with other data visualization tools (Power BI Tableau, etc.).
Fluency in spoken and written English.
Good to have
Exposure to Azure or Google Cloud
Experience with BW and ERP exposure is an advantage.
SAP ABAP experience is needed (BW ABAP, AMDP).
Experience in Python
Good knowledge of multiple aspects of the retail industry is advantageous.
