Residential Operations Manager (at the rank of Executive Officer) (Several posts) (Ref.:525902) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years' relevant post qualification experience. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese); good interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to work independently. Applicants should also possess a strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and genuine interest in student welfare and student development. Experience in social work, hostel management, project or event management, and in engaging young people would be an advantage.
The appointee will provide support and supervision to a wide range of matters, including office administration, daily management of a cluster of student residences; and be responsible for the general morale and social welfare of residence members. He/she will organize and coordinate the logistics arrangements of residences’ activities (including ceremonies and high table dinners); provide administrative support (including servicing committees and any work related to projects) to hall management; supervise staff and undertake any other duties as assigned by the Wardens/Masters. He/she will be required to work irregular hours and perform on-call duties on a need basis, and may be required to live in a post-tied quarter provided by the student residences.
The Dean of Student Affairs holds the authority to deploy the appointee to various clusters of student residences based on operational needs during the appointment period.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
