The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Linux Technical Leader to oversee the technical aspects of our Linux-based systems and environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Linux engineers and administrators and ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our Linux infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of Linux engineers and administrators, providing guidance and mentoring as needed
Plan, coordinate, and execute large-scale projects involving Linux infrastructure, ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux systems, including file systems, networking, security, virtualization and Cloud technologies
Continuously monitor and optimize the performance and security of our Linux systems, identifying and implementing new technologies, tools, and processes as needed
Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitating communication among team members
Ensure compliance with security policies, procedures, and standards related to Linux systems
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the Linux space, and provide guidance to senior management on potential areas for improvement
Key Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
7+ years of experience working with Linux-based operating systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Experience managing a team of Linux engineers and administrators
Expert-level knowledge of Linux file systems, networking, security, and virtualization technologies
Strong project management skills, with experience planning, coordinating, and executing large-scale projects
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to Linux systems
Strong commitment to continuous improvement and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing new technologies, tools, and processes to optimize the performance and security of Linux systems.
Having certification such as RHCE, AWS SAA, CKA or any technology related is a plus
