MoneySmart Group is South East Asia's leading personal financial portal helping consumers compare loans, insurance, and credit cards. MoneySmart was founded in 2009 with the simple aim to help consumers make better financial decisions.
As we continue to launch new business innovations and expand our business lines within the region, we are seeking for a Content Writer based in Hong Kong to join our Hong Kong content team.
Mission
You will be part of a passionate team of writers who deliver high value content in multiple formats that educate, entertain, engage and activate our audiences. You will be responsible for written content that empowers everyone in the area of personal finance through information, thought leadership and life hacks.
Responsibilities
• Monitor in-market trending topics, behaviours, news cycles and high volume Google search terms
• Staying on the pulse of Hong Kong with a focus on personal finance and how it affects our daily lives
• Create well-researched, high-quality SEO-friendly Traditional Chinese and English content tailored to our customers' needs by implementing best practices, thereby growing our audience and traffic to our website
• Monitor the performance of content, update the existing content to ensure the information is up-to-date and SEO-friendly to improve traffic
• Collaborate with Social Media Manager to Interact and engage with audience through our social media channels
• Deliver timely production of assigned content writing and interdepartmental creatives (blogs, social media posts, promotional materials, advertorials, eDM, landing pages, etc.)
• Communicate and collaborate with internal teams, including content, design, marketing and commercial
• Translate existing English content into Traditional Chinese and vice versa
• Adherence of all content output to the overarching content strategy, content pillars, best practices, tone of voice, style guides and SOPs
Requirements
• University graduate, preferably with a major in Chinese Language / Journalism / Public Relations / Communications / Translation
• 1-2 years of relevant work experience in Traditional Chinese and English digital content writing / editorial / publishing
• Good command of Traditional Chinese and English language writing, proofreading and editing
• Excellent spoken Cantonese and English
• Knowledge of financial, investment and insurance products (e.g. credit cards, loans, online trading, cryptocurrency, financial product, etc.) is preferred
• Knowledge of digital best practices for editorial production
• Knowledge of distribution channels and effective content distribution
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
• Familiar with SEO research tools and data analysis tools
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to communicate with clients, colleagues, and management
• Self-motivated and can work independently
