Wagering Products Associate (Graduate Trainee Programme)

The Department

The Wagering Products (WP) Division is responsible for driving the wagering business strategy and results for the Club through the wagering products of Horse Racing (Local and Overseas), Football, Mark 6 Lottery and International Commingling with the aim to drive wagering turnover and revenue growth in a socially responsible manner.

This role provides the job holder a dynamic experience and learning exposure to understand the overall wagering products, commingling business and China Sports Lottery co-operation in different functions through a 2-year rotation arrangement in WP Division. Job holder will be provided with career planning advices and rotation exposures based on persona! aspirations, strengths, development focuses and exciting business opportunities. The job holder will acquire hands-on experience of wagering product business, processes, business objectives and projects, etc.

The Job

You will:
• Develop domain knowledge, business acumen and job related skills through rotation in different functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects, business initiatives, and challenges to establish a professional network in wagering business
• Understand the business, work culture and strategic objectives of the Club and WP division
• Develop a broad range of transferrable skills, including problem solving, communication, interpersonal, project management, and leadership abilities
• Stimulate career interests through on-the-job experience and ongoing guidance from experienced mentors
• Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to wagering, thereby protecting the integrity of the Club's businesses
• Undertake other duties as assigned by Line Manager

About You

You should have
• Fresh or recent Bachelor graduate with less than 3 years of working experience, preferably with business, data science, statistics or marketing/ communications background
• Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning
• Proactive, self-motivated and eager to take on new challenges
• Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Able to take Race-day and Shift duty when required
• With interest in Racing / Wagering industry is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical mindset and able to generate insights from data
• Closely following latest developments in technology and be an early adopter of disruptive trends/technologies

Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience.
