The Regional Marketing Manager, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau has tactical ownership of commercial marketing at the regional level and support long-term direction through execution with localised strategy in mind. They are responsible for working closely with Commercial Sales and Regional Marketing partners, to plan and execute demand generation and sales enablement activities in the Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau region. They are expected to be predominantly autonomous, making good strategic decisions with minimal supervision.
This position is part of the Regional Marketing Organisation located onsite in Hong Kong with regular travel to Taiwan and Macau, reporting into the Cepheid APAC organization. At Cepheid, our vision is, to improve patient outcomes by enabling access to molecular diagnostic testing everywhere.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Own preparation of and execute components of commercial marketing tactical plan, including product launches and utilisation of digital marketing in omnichannel campaigns.
• Independently plan, organize and execute regional tradeshows, webinars and seminars. Measure ROI from events and develop programs to nurture and convert leads to sales opportunities.
• Collaborate with digital marketing partners and commercial team members to brainstorm, develop and create assets to drive demand generation in the region.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engage a network of key opinion leaders in the region.
• Represent regional marketing in the region’s Growth Room and OPS reviews through establishing, maintaining and reporting on KPIs (leading and lagging, eg. New Product Introduction, Transformative Marketing, Funnel Velocity influence, etc.)
• Participate in the setting and controlling of local budgets and forecasts for regional marketing in region.
• Collaborate with Global Product Management and APAC marketers to report on local market knowledge, government policies (guidelines, payer), local competitor activities and customers’ needs.
The essential requirements of the job include:
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience OR
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in Marketing or Sales discipline in the Diagnostics or Devices Industry
• Expertise with complex, multi-departmental healthcare sales
• Experience working in cross functional teams with a proven track record working with geographically dispersed team members including channel partners
• Able to identify and solve complex organisational issues by leveraging resources both within the marketing organisation and beyond
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to deliver complex information into a simplified manner for the audience to understand
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
• IVD regulated industries
• Proficiency in sales/marketing enablement platforms such as Marketing automation platforms, Power BI, Miro, Workfront, Seismic, and Salesforce.com
• Understanding of region-wide cultural differences and approaches
Travel is required up to 30% both within APAC and international outside of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macua.
