Arup is looking for a well-credentialled, technically excellent and inspiring leader to develop its regional cyber security services, collaborate with local subject matter experts and their global cyber security technology and advisory peers.
The role of the RSR cyber security leader includes:
• Working with clients to understand and address cyber security risks and create sustainable and innovative solutions.
• Assisting in the development of world-class capabilities within RSR and the region including staffing, processes, tools and frameworks.
• Acting as the lead connector between Arup's existing digital engineering, risk assessment/management and security services in region.
• Acting collaboratively with similar leaders in other Arup regions to share experience, capability and resources for best global effect.
• Development of new business – measured by revenue and profit.
• Working collaboratively with other parts of the firm with intent of acting to positively differentiate Arup's holistic advisory service offering to market (locally and globally).
• Assignment and programme delivery leadership and account management.
• Assessing, developing and bringing together the RSR capabilities currently within the group.
• Supporting the virtual connection of the broader regional capabilities.
Candidates can come from a variety of cyber security backgrounds including technology consulting, management consulting, cyber security architecture, risk management or advisory.
The successful candidate will have an appreciation of the convergence between the physical and digital environments and the unique security challenges this presents in the built environment, a passion for how security can shape a better world and ideally experience of operating in a senior leadership security role.
Risk-based thinking is essential, as demonstrated by a systems-based approach to managing risk in the design of safety-critical systems against both hostile threats and non-malicious hazards and the ability for original, critical thinking in relation to the human-in-the-loop and the interface between digital and physical systems in emergent deployment of digital technologies.
The current focus in the development of this business is around the risks associated with digital systems in the built environment and the design of infrastructure, and candidates should have experience in this space.
The role is looking for someone with experience in ISO27001, NSCS CAF, IEC62443 frameworks as well as ISO31000 risk assessment or equivalent.
We also seek someone who has experience of identifying and engaging internal and external stakeholders with a collaborative style of working that fosters innovation and team working.
An interest in sustainability, and a desire to deliver solutions for customers that promote long-term sustainable outcomes is also required.
An interest in new technologies, solutions and concepts, such as Digital Twins, IoT, Smart Buildings and their application in our focus sectors is also desired.
The role will also involve working with the application of Digital Architecture frameworks.
The successful candidate will have a degree qualification in a subject related to risk management, information technology or communications engineering and/or high-level certifications from major vendors or authorities.
