Cloud Security Architect

About the role

If IT Security is an If Group organization supporting If´s insurance business by maintain and develop cybersecurity actions within the entire If. If’s IT Security team provides security capabilities associated to the total infrastructure area. Our task is to review and assess the potential risk of new industry threats, as well as implement and manage technologies capable of detecting, investigating, and/or eliminating those threats.

We are looking for a new Cloud Security Architect for IT Security team to work in the Cloud Security area where main responsibility is in the Cloud security. Our team is working with the business and IT architects as well as driving our own security initiatives to plan, build, deploy security controls within If’s environment.

As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based systems within our organization. Your expertise will be focused on Microsoft Azure, but you may also work with other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud.

What are you going to do?

Security Leadership and Architecture
• Act as a lead evangelist on security-related subjects related to Microsoft Azure, public cloud, container technologies, infrastructure transformation, networking, and data center operations.
• Create secure design recommendations for cloud applications, covering areas such as data protection, key management, authentication, and authorization.

Subject Matter Expertise
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on cloud security for our organization.
• Develop standards, policies, and procedures best practices documentation.
• Participate in working groups to tailor the company’s security policies and standards for use in cloud environments.

Risk Assessment and Communication
• Translate security and technical requirements into business requirements.
• Communicate security risks to different audiences, ranging from business leaders to engineers.

Technical Solutions
• Design technical solutions, including creating prototypes and proofs of concept while maintaining a security mindset.
• Collaborate closely with application developers and system administrators to deliver creative solutions to complex technology challenges and business requirements.

What do we expect from you?

Must have
• You have a security-oriented mindset with strong knowledge of cloud security principles and practices.
• You have excellent communication skills to address client information security concerns.
• Day-to-day responsibilities require a good/excellent level of English to communicate with clients and colleagues from other countries.
• You are familiar with Azure security architecture and Azure Security portal.
• You have an ability to create and implement secure design patterns.

Nice to have
• A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Business, Technical, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, Education, Information Security, or Information Technology is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF and cloud technology-related ones from Microsoft and Google are valuable but not mandatory.
