Launched in 2020, Venus Protocol (a.k.a. “Venus”) pushed the edges of decentralized finance through its composition of two pre-existing solutions and deployment on BNB chain, lowering the barrier to entry for millions of new users around the globe. By combining the stablecoin minting facility introduced by Maker and algorithmic money markets developed by Compound, Venus simplified the user experience and provided core capabilities that enabled decentralized finance to flourish in a single application. Job Description
Venus is looking to increase focus on B2B opportunities and consolidate our position in the market. We are hiring a remote-by-default, full-time Business Development and Growth Lead.
The mission is to aggressively pursue successful partnerships, across protocols and chains. The BD will research & communicate with AMMs & bridges, negotiate on behalf of the community, and discover any & all ways to expand Venus markets and VAI supply.
Responsibilites:
• Lead BD efforts that drive growth of the protocol and stablecoin
• Create a BD strategy and set objectives for scale
• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and prioritize new business opportunities
• Design & implement partnerships
• Facilitate mutually beneficial proposals with other projects
• Build & manage a sales & business development pipeline
• Identify emerging DeFi trends and use this to optimize our strategy Become an active community leader, including events & presentations Channel partner feedback back to dev team
Qualifications
• 5+ years of ecosystem / BD experience, ideally Defi, Eth experience
• Strong relationships with large web2 and web3 organizations with previous examples of partnerships built
• Web3 partnerships could involve connections to ecosystem funds or core development teams at Layer 1 protocols which we can use for data availability Web3 partnerships could also be connections to big Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos projects or teams who have not decided where to build
• Proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth
• Previous experience doing ecosystem for a crypto project
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to think strategically
