Entry Requirements:
Candidates should:
1. (a) have an accredited associate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information and Communication Technology or a related field from a recognised post-secondary institution in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) have met the language proficiency requirements of Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) or the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), [Please see Note (1)] or equivalent; and
(c) have a good command of both Chinese and English.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with (i) relevant experience in mobile application development for iOS and Android platforms; (ii) hands-on experience of HTML, XML, Json and JSP; (iii) experience with cyber security protocols and tools; (iv) proficiency in using Python, SQL Command and computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; and (v) knowledge in Agile development methodologies, cloud services and DevOps practices.
Note:
(1) For appointment purpose, 'Grade E' in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 is accepted administratively as comparable to 'Level 2' in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.
Duties:
A Cyber Security Assistant II (Mobile Application and Web Development) is mainly deployed to:
(a) perform regular updates and maintenance for the organisation’s websites;
(b) ensure that the websites, database, network and servers of the division are properly maintained according to cyber security protocols to protect company data and systems;
(c) monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities;
(d) develop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms;
(e) troubleshoot and debug to optimise performance of the platforms; and
(f) perform any other duties assigned by senior officers.
(Note: May be required to work shifts and overtime, and perform outdoor duties.)
Terms of Appointment:
Successful candidates will be appointed on two-year non-civil service contract terms.
Fringe Benefits
Rest days, statutory holidays or any of the five specified non-Sunday general holidays (or substituted holidays), annual leave, maternity/paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions of the Employment Ordinance. An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity (if granted), plus the Government’s contribution to the MPF scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordnance, will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
