The Department
The Service Delivery Department is responsible for designing and delivering “IT Digital Transformation Programme”. In addition, the department is responsible for the delivery of application solutions including Finance, HR, CRM and Enterprise Data Warehouse systems for the Club’s business portfolios and managing the IT Shenzhen delivery arm.
The Job
You will:
• Accountable for the Data Architecture (Enterprise data model and feature stores) and Product/Solution Architecture (design deliverables and documentation) of the DAS portfolio to improve product quality such as safety, reliability, cost efficiency and user experiences – with repeatable patterns that speed up deployment. DAS portfolio includes (but not limited to) various data injection patterns, Data Catalog, Features stores, Data Warehouse / Lake / Delta Lake / Marts, Reporting & Visualization and AI(including GenAI) solutions, model library and data scientists workbench
• Accountable for the delivery and maintenance of the Club’s Target Architecture for Data & Analytics including (but not limited to) Data Sourcing and Ingesting, Data Warehouse / Lake / Delta Lake / Marts, Reporting & Visualization, Self-Service (e.g. analytical workbench and marketplace), Network Analysis, Data Management (e.g. Master & Reference Data Management, Data Quality, Meta Data and Data Lineage), AI/ML as well as Chatbots
• Design solutions to improve new and existing systems and work with the DAS delivery teams to map out the overall DAS technology roadmap, including the decommissioning of older databases/warehouses
• Assess, plan and execute the development of the DAS architecture team
• Creation of architectural designs and prepared architecture reports for management and executive teams
• Conduct regular and ad-hoc standards reviews on every architecture component for different DAS systems
• Prepare technical reports and deliver presentations to all levels of management to delineate the business implications of technical initiatives and secure their buy-in
• Drive and promote architectural standards and policies
• Provide architecture advice and assistance to all levels of engineers and managers within DAS
• Participate and contribute positively to create a diverse and inclusive culture with trust and respect. Play an active role in supporting cross-team/division/department efforts and modeling collaborative behaviours
• Align personal development plan with business objectives and embrace the transformation to move the team/department forward
About You
You should have:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent. Postgraduate qualification is a definite plus
• 12+ years of Data & Analytics systems analysis/design and architecture development experience; consultancy experience in architecture engagements a distinct advantage
• Professional qualification in enterprise architecture (e.g. TOGAF) will be an advantage
• Understanding of EA concepts and their implementation implications within the organisation depending on the maturity of the organization along the EA roadmap
• Superior written and verbal communication skills in presenting technical concepts and their business implications to all levels of management and securing their buy-in
• Knowledgeable in the latest technologies and business processes
• Datalake / Lakehouse / Deltalake
• D&A cloud technologies (especially Azure)
• Reporting & Visualisation
• Self-Service (e.g. analytical workbench and marketplace)
• Network Analysis
• Data Management (e.g. Master & Reference Data Management, DataQuality, Meta Data and Data Lineage)
• AI/ML as well as Chatbots and LLM
• Has written and executed RFI/RFP processes to correctly evaluate and recommend the correct technology, application, or product
• Led the architecture team to work with vendors to develop Proof of Concepts(PoC) and conduct technology and product evaluation/assessment to confirm the feasibility of the solution and align to the club’s architecture direction
• Able to identify technical debt for existing systems and drive decommission plans and improvements on design to remediate them
• Able to influence others and be able to demonstrate peer leadership skill
• Able to apply structured thinking to analyze and reduce complex problems to their essence
• Able to quickly understand and build domain knowledge
• Able to define business & systems roadmaps where the requirements of one or the other are not clearly defined, identified or available such as to prevent lost investments or prevent “mushrooming technologies”
• Able to lead and drive architecture delivery including documentation, deadline and desired outcomes
• Able to lead in architecture analysis, modelling, and design ensuring alignment with business and Architecture strategy. This includes the ownership of the architectural artefacts, controlling the architectural integrity and managing critical architectural trade-offs
• Able to translate core business requirements into feasible technical solutions amid constraints
• Able to work effectively with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise
• Strong team management with the ability to coach and develop junior architects
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence business and technical stakeholders to buy in and adopt new technology and proposed architecture design
• Consultancy experience in architecture development and information systems analysis/design
• Proficiency in writing, presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, Cantonese or Putonghua
