The primary focus of this role is to ensure all client media investments are billed on time and to act as the day-to-day client finance liaison for inquiries within the agency. Your collaborative efforts will extend to working with various stakeholders, including clients, client teams, agency finance, and the Shared Financial Services Centre teams (accounting/billing/AR/AP), both within the agency and across Assembly Global.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ON ANY GIVEN DAY
• Establishing excellent relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring all clients’ finance needs are met. Providing day-to-day support to ensure all bookings are billed and paid in a timely manner, with a focus on optimizing late billings and unbilled media
• Coordinating with Client Introduction and Client Finance Teams from ERP Job Set-up to Revenue Recognition
• Develop and implement efficiency improvements to billing process and reduce billing errors and reduce unbilled balances
• Review WIP periodically including Advanced Billing, Fees and Deferred Fees (Revenue) reconciliations
• Support Accounts Receivable on aged balances to resolution
• Review and report on Media Spend per client and channel
• Support Accounting and Finance to improve working capital performance and processes around cash flow reporting and forecasting.
• Conducting thorough reviews to ensure client contractual compliance
• Ensure ERP (Maconomy) is in line with process and that job journals are used correctly and WIP is on the correct job.
• Actualize media investment that is billed on account
• Reconcile estimate billings in a timely manner
• Support Accounting and Finance with the month-end client level netting process
• Support in client audit
Requirements:
• 2 to 4 years previous experience as a Reconciliation Liaison or similar.
• Media agency experience preferred
• Previous experience working with Maconomy/MediaOcean is preferred
• Knowledge of media best practices preferred
• Able to operate effectively in a matrix structure
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Detail orientated, with a natural ability to identify issues, create solutions and drive through to implementation
• Ability to work well with all stakeholders, diplomatic, highly engaged and a strong sense of ownership
• Naturally curious to interrogate and validate financial information
• Excellent Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as an integral part of a wider team.
• Proactive team player
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines through excellent project management skills and to explain financial information to non-financial people
