Senior Manager, Business & Data Analysis (ITSD - EDAP - EM)

The Department

The Service Delivery Department is responsible for designing and delivering “IT Digital Transformation Programme”. In addition, the department is responsible for the delivery of application solutions including Finance, HR, CRM and Enterprise Data Warehouse systems for the Club’s business portfolios and managing the IT Shenzhen delivery arm.

The Job

You will:
• Work closely with business teams and senior stakeholders to formulate analytics use cases, understand the underlying data requirements and analytics capability needs, and effectively manage business demands and expectations
• Manage the lifecycle of business stakeholders on their analytics user journey on EDAP, assist user inquires by navigating towards optimal solutions and bridging up communication between different parties (e.g. business teams, product managers, data scientists, development teams, vendors, etc.)
• Formulate best practices and guidelines on data analysis technologies and techniques (e.g. data profiling, source database analysis, data mapping, data classification), and drive the adoption and continual improvement of these practices and guidelines
• Ensure quality, ownership and traceability of analysis deliverables and documentations (e.g. business opportunity, user stories, data mapping, data interface) throughout the project life cycle
• Support delivery management, development and assurance teams to ensure business objectives are met through the outcomes
• Participate and contribute positively to create a diverse and inclusive culture with trust and respect. Play an active role to support cross team/division/department efforts and model collaborative behaviours
• Align personal development plan with business objectives and embrace the transformation to move the team/department forward

About You

You should have:
• University degree in Computer Science / Engineering, Data Science or Business Analytics or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in business & data analysis (analytics / AI domain) with large corporations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to develop effective work relationship with key stakeholders and translate technical terms and drive discussions and consensus
• Excellent presentation, business and problem-solving skills with an analytical mind-set
• Capacity of building strong working relationships with internal IT, business managers and vendors, and must be a team player
• Knowledge in business & data analysis, data visualisation & dashboard design, data interface & transformation, database / data lake / data lakehouse technologies and data management techniques
• Knowledge in SQL/Python/R programming is an advantage
• Experience in different cloud technology such as AWS/Azure/GCP is an advantage
• Knowledge in business case writing, workshop facilitation, processing mapping or customer experience & journey mapping is an advantage
• Familiarized with IT project management and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English in a professional manner
• Proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage
