The Department
The Strategic Procurement Department is focused on delivering effective business solutions through a strategic management approach of our costs, our supplier base and the continuous improvement of our administrative initiatives.
The Centre of Excellence (COE) is an integral part of the Strategic Procurement Services Model which drives discipline and efficiency across the procurement organization as a whole, enables knowledge and capability management to satisfy different business needs, and expand influence of Strategic Procurement and demonstrate the value it brings to the Club.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the Executive Manager, Strategic Procurement (Centre of Excellence) in collaborating with stakeholders & Strategic Procurement Category teams and act as internal Project Management Office (PMO) change champion to oversight the departmental initiatives and projects, that provide transparency tracking and regular reporting to our senior management and business. It aims at supporting the effective and efficient operation of the Strategic Procurement Department for the Club.
The Job
You will:
• Manage a holistic project management report of departmental initiatives to enhance the transparency and audit trial of documental records across categories.
• Provide support on initiatives progress updates and closure by formulating and automating reports in the form of Project Management Dashboard
• Review, revamp and rollout the departmental category level document management framework and retention policy to support training and development for people capability uplift
• Establish the departmental communication and change management framework, conduct regular review and updates on the stakeholder management plan
• Manage the internal project management office for process simplification / transformation initiatives by developing a transparent governance structure
• Offer support on preparation, tracking and management of departmental budget and headcounts planning
• Work in collaboration with category teams and business/users to drive process simplification initiatives to simplify and enhance the end to end procurement processes
About You
You should have:
• Degree holder in Procurement, Information Technology, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying or related disciplines
• At least 10 years of client and/or consultancy relevant experience in developing process and procedures
• Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing / procurement and commercial & contract management tools and techniques
• Project management experience would be highly preferable
• Knowledge of data analytics is an added advantage
• Possess high level of integrity, work ethic and good moral values
• A good team player and able to establish, influence and maintain collaborative partnerships and engage in effective negotiations with a broad range of parties.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
