A leading financial institution is looking for a Team Head for their Securities Back Office Operations team. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in FICC and equity product life cycle and experience in managing a medium-sized team.
about the job
• Lead and manage a team of approximately 10 personnel across back-office functions
• Good understanding in Equity Settlement, Corporate Actions (both Fixed Income and Equities), Cash Management, and Account Services
• Strong understanding in FICC and Equity product life cycle
• Actively engage in new product development in collaboration with key business representatives
• Align the Operations Department with the firm’s strategic objectives and business priorities
• Advocate for and implement standardized operational procedures and processes
• Cultivate strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
• Contribute to local, regional, and global project initiatives
skills & experiences required
• 15 years of experience in operations or middle office in a sell-side environment
• In-depth understanding of the equities and fixed income product life cycle.
• Comprehensive knowledge of settlements and corporate actions workflows, which is a critical requirement.
• Awareness of current regulatory and market initiatives that impact the product life cycle
• Prior experience in a leadership role within the middle office is preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities
• Fluency in Chinese and English is a must
