Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing team. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with Business Analysts (BA), developers, and other team members to ensure the quality and reliability of our AI-powered education platforms, internal CMS, and staff-facing websites. You will be a key player in our Scrum team, involved in every stage of the development process, from planning to release.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts (BA) to understand product requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories.
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web platforms, internal CMS, and staff-facing tools.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing to identify defects.
- Work closely with development teams in Malaysia, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong to ensure timely resolution of bugs and issues.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) to provide updates and insights on testing progress.
- Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and responsiveness.
- Validate AI-driven education features and ensure they meet quality standards in terms of accuracy, usability, and performance.
- Collaborate with the team to automate repetitive test cases and maintain automation scripts.
- Continuously improve QA processes, tools, and documentation to ensure efficiency and scalability.
- Provide detailed and clear bug reports to assist developers in reproducing and resolving issues.
- Monitor and validate fixes during sprint cycles and releases.
Qualifications and Skills:
Must-Have:
- 1–3 years of experience in Quality Assurance or software testing roles.
- Familiarity with Scrum methodology and working within Agile teams.
- Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience testing web applications, CMS platforms, or internal tools.
- Ability to write clear, detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Solid understanding of browser and device compatibility testing.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-regional teams (Malaysia, Shenzhen, Hong Kong).
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Good-to-Have:
- Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
- Knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, JMeter).
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning-based applications.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience working with tools like Jira, Confluence, or other project management platforms.
