Franchise Strategy Integration Manager
Disney Parks International
Summary
The Franchise Strategy Integration Manager will provide support for the following two core functions for Disney Parks International: (1) the development and execution of a coherent franchise strategy for Duffy and Friends in Asia and (2) Disney Location-based Experiences (DLBE) unit. The Franchise Strategy Integration Manager will report to the Director, Franchise Strategy & Management and Location-Based Experiences.
Responsibilities
Duffy and Friends Franchise
• Drive impact and support the development and execution of a strategic roadmap to support the growth of the Duffy and Friends franchise to build consumer engagement and incremental revenue.
• Act as the key integration point among the three Asia parks and other TWDC business units (Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), Disney Consumer Products, Corporate Brand Management, DX Global Franchise, etc.) in driving a holistic and strategically consistent approach to sustain and growth the franchise.
• Collaborate with WDI to identify opportunities to optimize and streamline the creative review and approval process for future character and story development.
• Serve as the primary responsible person in organizing Duffy-related workshops or offsites for sharing best practices and latest development for the franchise among leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop compelling and persuasive presentation materials to senior leadership for segment and site-based senior executives/steering committees.
• Work closely with each of the sites and Consumer Insights & Marketing Analytics (CIMA) to develop a database to quantify the health of the Duffy and Friends franchise across Asia and potentially benchmark for brand demand.
• Independently identify and pursue strategic value-added analysis around growth opportunities for the franchise and collaborate with leaders across the enterprise to drive innovation.
Location-based Experiences
DLBE is the team within DPI that partners with various licensees around the globe that develop experiences leveraging popular franchises and IPs from 20th Century Studios and National Geographic.
• Develop business strategy and operation model to enhance the financial performance of the LBE unit, while ensuring delivery of Disney’s brand integrity and operational standards at all time.
• Track, compiles, analyzes and extracts insights from key data needed to inform business strategies, such as industry trends, competitive analysis, macro factors etc., while providing thought partnership to senior leadership team in navigating the location-based entertainment landscape.
• Lead independent research to determine and respond to opportunities for additional locations within the Disney Experiences footprint.
Talent Attributes and Qualifications
• ~8 years of experience in a fast-paced work environment.
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation skills, both verbal and in written form: ability to take complex concepts and communicate them to a broad audience in a concise and persuasive manner; effectively influence senior leadership on key decisions and direction to achieve priorities.
• Strong strategic thinking and business/financial acumen to effectively scrutinize brand, financial, and operational implications; able to critically evaluate business models and product proposals against strategic priorities.
• Proactively engage and collaborate with internal partners. Build and maintain strong partnerships to identify business opportunities for the segment.
