Job Title: Shift Operations Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Operations Manager to join our team at Veolia. As a Shift Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the shift and leading the team to ensure that the waste treatment schedule is followed and the treatment processes are in compliance with operational procedure, health, safety, environmental and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, direct and control resources such as machinery and manpower in a shift for the fulfillment of assignments given by the Operations Manager.
• Monitor plant processes, react to plant upsets/malfunctions, troubleshoot and take corrective actions to restore normal operations.
• Identify operational issues, equipment malfunctions or process deviations and take appropriate corrective & preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance Team to resolve technical problems.
• Respond to alarms and emergency conditions and take steps to correct conditions to normal.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to subordinates and support the development of young operators.
Requirements:
• Higher Diploma or above in Chemical Engineering, Operations Management or Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in chemical plant or process plant operation.
• Knowledge in wastewater treatment, incineration, or boiler will be an advantage.
• Certified water tube boiler operator or forklift driver a plus.
• Able to work in a continuous rotating shift pattern.
• Self-motivated, high integrity and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work on shift pattern (Monday to Friday or any pattern as assigned).
