Responsibilities:

Product Compliance Management:
• Oversee compliance of new and existing products across various platforms and international markets.
• Review and assess product designs, creating comprehensive QA reports and outlining compliance requirements.
• Stay updated on global standards and regulations (e.g., EN-71, RED, ASTM F963, FCC, RoHS, REACH), implementing necessary changes into product reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Coordinate compliance testing with suppliers and accredited testing laboratories, managing the entire process to meet shipment schedules.
• Evaluate testing reports and supplier documentation, providing feedback and solutions for non-compliance issues, and ensuring all products meet regulatory standards.
• Maintain and update compliance documentation, uploading reports to internal systems and keeping accurate records.

Customer and Stakeholder Communication:
• Respond to customer inquiries and sales orders regarding compliance requirements, engaging in discussions to understand and fulfill specific needs.
• Prepare and provide necessary compliance reports and documentation to customers, including major retailers and international clients.
• Complete and submit required customer compliance, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

Quality Assurance and Problem Resolution:
• Collaborate with suppliers and testing houses to resolve compliance issues, developing effective solutions to overcome testing failures or regulatory challenges.
• Negotiate testing quotations and terms with testing laboratories to achieve cost-effective outcomes while maintaining high compliance standards.
• Review and critique both supplier-provided and internally generated testing reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to relevant standards.

Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:
• Maintain a thorough understanding of global regulatory requirements pertinent to toys and consumer electronics.
• Ensure all product markings, warnings, and safety labeling meet regulatory requirements for different markets.
• Monitor and address any product returns, defects, or quality issues reported, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Consolidate and report on compliance activities, providing insights and updates to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

Experience:
• Proven experience in the toys and consumer electronics industry, focusing on safety compliance and factory ethical compliance.
• Experience handling compliance for global markets and dealing with international retailers and e-commerce platforms.

Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of applicable regulations, standards, and laws, including but not limited to EN-71, RED, ASTM F963, FCC, RoHS, REACH, and ethical compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with BSCI audits, Disney requirements, and other international compliance frameworks is an advantage.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective solutions for compliance challenges.
