Cloud Project Manager - Hong Kong (M/F)

Context of the job

KEYTEO Hong Kong is hiring a new permanent Consultant to work as Cloud Project Manager for a project at one of our clients in the financial industry.

The Consultant will work full time onsite at the client.

Activities

The main responsibilities of the Cloud Project Manager include:
• Design, build and support Azure cloud platform according to project requirements.
• Liaise with remote team on Azure platform setup.
• Work collaboratively with engineers to deploy and operate cloud environments.
• Collaborate with technical leads to integrate and document end-to-end designs.
• Setup and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide guidance, insight, and subject matter expertise on the cloud / Linux environments, including performance tuning application, troubleshooting production issues, and implementing best practices
• Provide guidance and prepare documentation to release management team to ensure they follow instructions on UAT and production deployment.
• Be part of the feedback loop to continuously improve and develop tools for deployment, system monitoring, system tuning and troubleshooting.
• Ensure application solution meet our client’s policies, standards and quality requirements.
• Complete assignments on time and meet standard requirements to meet business objectives and ensure project success.
• Keep abreast of latest software development approaches / technologies.

Required profile
• University graduate in IT related disciplines.
• 3-7 years relevant experience in cloud infrastructure / DevOps, preferably in insurance or financial industries.
• Experience in Project Management (preferably with a certification such as PMP).
• Open and proactive mindset, getting things done attitude.
• Solid experience in CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, BitBucket, SonarQube, etc.
• Experience in microservices implementation using MuleSoft or equivalent.
• Experience in working on RDBMS (e.g. MSSQL, Oracle, etc) and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).
• Good understanding of container related technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Solid Experience in scripting languages (PowerShell/Python/Bash/Perl/etc).
• Experience on managing cloud platform such as Azure and AWS.
• Preferred qualifications in Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps.
• Experience or knowledge in one or more configuration management services e.g. Chef/Puppet/Ansible is a plus.
• Exposure with logging and data aggregation tools such as Elastic Stack (ELK), Splunk, Stackdriver, etc.
• Experience on managing and administrating medium to complex systems with multiple teams.
• A good team player, self-motivated, open-minded and innovative.
• Strong initiative, and a desire to learn.
• You are used to working in an agile team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with being organized, structured and assertive.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Fluency in Cantonese is required.
• Candidates with more experience will be considered as Manager, Technology Platforms.
