REQ10783 Manager, Sales (Open)
Position Summary
The Manager is based in Singapore and responsible for maximizing revenue targets of rooms, entertainment and shows in Melco Macau properties. This includes planning and implementing sales & marketing strategies, and to maximize the potential of existing networks and sourcing new business from South East Asian markets.
The Manager is also responsible to attend industry related trade shows / exhibitions, identifies trends, determines regional sales system improvements, and implement change when necessary. Meet regional sales objectives by forecasting requirements, prepare annual budget, schedule expenditures, and initiate corrective actions.
Primary Responsibilities
• Achieve revenue target and expenditure within budgets as specified in KPI’s
• Assist the Director in developing the strategic Sales & Marketing Plan and Annual Budget for the assigned market
• Market Melco properties as destination product to a wide variety of potential customers
• Implement strategies as per the Sales and Marketing Plan to ensure key account management and business development opportunities are maximized. This includes effective management of accounts through effective client contact, sales calls (both local and international) and facilitating entertainment and site inspections to develop relationships with key client contacts
• Convert leads and pursue new business through direct inquiries, target potential accounts and implement sales call cycle for the target markets
• Responsible for co-coordinating and managing a Sales & Marketing Plan covering all aspects of Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events taking into account room hire, F&B and accommodation targets
• Develop relationships with the key decision makers within targeted accounts in order to secure tender opportunities and maintain knowledge of all tendering systems and ensure compatible software for participation in Request For Proposal (RFP) / Tenders
• Conduct regional sales calls regularly focusing on National Conference & Corporate Groups
• Source and communicate market intelligence regarding hotels, destinations and industry happenings to the Sales and Marketing teams. Provide feedback on changing market conditions, including trends in the market / industry
• Ensure effective communication to the regional sales team to promote a team work approach to meeting client expectations
• Maintain contact profiles in systems to ensure accurate and timely information of all existing and target accounts including knowledge of the market
• Collate monthly production reports on a quarterly basis and work together with Macau Sales team to manage reporting requirements for contracted accounts
• Participate in tradeshows, exhibitions and industry related events on behalf of the Company
• Adhere to and act in accordance with all established policies and procedures of the Company
Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a sales role in hotel / travel industry with at least 2 years in managerial position
Education
• Bachelor Degree Holder in Hospitality or business related qualifications or equivalent professional
training required
Skills / Competencies
• Demonstrated ability in meeting sales targets
• Strong knowledge of market trends and initiatives
• Previous experience of Amadeus Delphi system suites
• Knowledge of hotel property management systems and proficient in Microsoft Office
• Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin and English
• Flexible working schedule
