The Senior Product Manager is responsible to plan and augment the international cable capacity to meet current and future business requirements in a cost-effective manner. The position will be responsible for achieving product performance targets set by the Company.

The job:
• Support market analysis for new subsea cable planning and investment.
• Keep track and provide proactive monitoring on the inventory utilization and its trend, and provide recommendation for capacity upgrade alert the Management when exceeding the threshold
• Maintain accurate inventory of PCCW Global’s all international capacity including subsea and terrestrial cable systems with more than 50 cable systems
• Provide regular update and briefing on the available, planned new capacity and new cable systems to the Sales and Presales
• Prepare regular budget and usage forecast according to the inventory status. Analyze the Cable revenue and costing to prepare for on-going forecast
• Provide regular and ad-hoc KPI performance reports to Finance and Management
• Prepare business cases for management approval on capacity upgrade and expansion projects
• Interface with Cable Planning and Transmission Engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of the lit up capacity and associated costing for the own cable investment

The successful candidate will have:
• A University Degree holder or equivalent in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or related discipline
• At least 3-5 year experiences in regional or global Telecommunication industry
• Knowledge of submarine cables systems, IPLC and Ethernet Services, OSS/BSS business process and latest telecommunication technologies would be an advantage.
• Strong results orientation, with a successful track record of timely achievement of aggressive goals within budget
• Self-motivated, creative, initiative and analytical with good business judgment/acumen
• Good project management skill, presentation skill and interpersonal skill with ability to mobilize a global cross department virtual team
• Good command of English, both verbal and written
• Occasional overseas Travel is required
