SAP Functional Specialist ensures continuous smooth operation of assigned production applications, fulfill ad-hoc request to optimize service delivery. Coordination of appropriate and timely responses to service requests, including but not limited to coordinating with appropriate teams, and keeping requestors appraised of progress towards service restoration.
Key Responsibilities
Monitors service delivery performance metrics and liaises with managers and customers to ensure that service level agreements are not breached.
Drive issue resolution to incidents assigned to the individual, taking into consideration accuracy of the information provided, quality of the solution and proper accountability.
Deliver Service Requests within the defined time frame and within acceptable quality defined by the team.
Handle problem isolation and issue resolution and identify escalation points.
Work closely with other teams such as developers and technical engineers for the resolution of identified issues.
Translate customer requirements into Functional Specifications in order to drive development of objects to serve customer requirements.
Thorough understanding of business process in respective work stream assignment.
Document findings and proposed solutions in a comprehensive manner understandable to business users.
Mentors and develops junior team members within the respective work stream assignment.
Commitment and ability to continuously self-improve and develop through participation in internal training programs, study training and online training courses whenever possible.
Key Requirements
At least 7 years of SAP working experience, with exposure to the following SAP Modules:
o Merchandise Management [MM].
o Sales and Distribution [SD].
o POS-DM.
o IS Retail
o Solution Manager
Experience in the following area's will be very beneficial:
o Master Data [Site, Hierarchies, Article and Vendor];
o Purchase Pricing [Schemer and Conditions];
o Sales Pricing [Pricing Procedures and Conditions];
o Promotions.
o Interfacing of Master Data outbound from SAP [inclusive of change pointer];
o Sales integration into POS-DM and SAP.
Full SAP lifecycle projects experience will be very beneficial.
Candidate should hands-on experience in setting up Pricing, promotion and POS interface modules of SAP IS-Retail.
Understanding of the relationship and integration between the Management of Master Data [e.g., Articles] and integration to Legacy is a distinct advantage.
Experience in performing prototyping, functional configuration, and developing functional specifications.
Good knowledge of SAP integration with external POS and other store management applications.
Experience in searching for and reviewing SAP notes.
Results-oriented and ability to support team objectives and goals.
High attention to detail and quality of results.
Retail experience is beneficial.
Good English communication skills, written and verbal, is beneficial.
Outstanding inter-personal communication skills are essential.
