Company Description
Our client, a leading international asset management firm, is seeking an AVP / Senior Associate, Institutional Sales professional to serve clients based in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to target and engage institutional clients in Hong Kong (and offshore China clients) and Macau
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, investment professionals, and stakeholders within the target market
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing them with expert insights on our client’s investment strategies and solutions
• Collaborate closely with internal teams, including portfolio managers, research analysts, and client service professionals, to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and meet client expectations
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor analysis, and regulatory developments that may impact institutional clients in Hong Kong
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and other networking events to enhance brand awareness and generate new business opportunities
Requirements
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in institutional sales within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on Hong Kong institutional clients / family offices
• Proven track record of asset gathering and building strong relationships with institutional clients
• Strong knowledge of investment products, asset classes, and financial markets
• Familiarity with the investment needs and preferences of institutional clients in Hong Kong
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts effectively
• Client-centric mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term partnerships
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across different internal functions Client servicing professionals with a strong interest in transitioning to a sales role will also be considered
