Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data System Engineer to architect, build, and maintain a large-scale, highly efficient computational network system focused on seamless data transmission and processing. In this role, you will leverage distributed global computing resources to design a robust internal connectivity framework, ensuring rapid and reliable data flow. The system will handle the end-to-end lifecycle of data management, including acquisition, cleansing, normalization, and integration of over a billion daily business data transactions. This foundational infrastructure will support critical data operations for AI-driven language models and analytical platforms.

This position is ideal for a technical professional passionate about designing scalable data systems and optimizing data processing pipelines for maximum reliability and performance in a high-stakes, data-intensive environment.

Responsibilities
• Design and implement a scalable, high-efficiency computational network infrastructure to support data collection, processing, and normalization on a massive scale.
• Develop robust, low-latency data transfer protocols to ensure seamless data flow across multiple global computing nodes, optimizing for reliability and performance.
• Architect and refine data processing pipelines to handle over 1 billion business data transactions daily, with an emphasis on precise data transformation, filtering, and aggregation.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to continuously improve system reliability, fault tolerance, and overall efficiency in high-throughput data environments.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and troubleshooting for data-intensive operations to ensure smooth and consistent data handling throughout all processing stages.

Qualifications
• Hong Kong permanent resident or capable of legally working in Hong Kong.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field from a world top 100 university is preferred.
• Proficient in Python or Golang development.
• Strong understanding of data flow and system integrations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English & Chinese.
• Understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes is required.
• Deep understanding of computer network principles is required.
• Experience following Agile methodology is required.
• Solid foundation in computer science.
