About This Team
Finance team work cross functionally with other teams in the business for bookkeeping and financial reporting, as well as work with our auditors and tax representatives for compliances. We work closely with retail teams to support retail business operations, reporting and growth. We also support market expansion in the region from all rounded finance aspects.
A Day In The Life
• Play a key role in month end closing, including but not limited to identify accrual need, reconciliations for various business operations, provide analysis on actual data fluctuation
• Be responsible for everything related to accounting of lease, concession store/ marketplace, and CAPEX, as well as communication and coordination with landlords for store financial reporting
• Work closely with business team, finance and shared service teams in Vancouver headquarters, for reporting, operations and compliances matters
• Work closely with external accounting services company, to ensure the local book is prepared accurately and timely for local compliances
• Prepare annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors for statutory audits
• Liaise with tax agents for tax compliances and tax return filing, including but not limited to indirect tax, withholding tax and corporate income tax
• Organize and maintain appropriate accounting books and records in compliance with company policies and local accounting standards
• Handle other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time

Qualifications
• Degree holder in Accounting or relevant disciplines with accounting qualification of ACCA/HKICPA or equivalent
• 5 years or above experience in a similar role, experience with MNC or CPA firm is a plus
• Proficient in Oracle is an asset
• Experience in supporting multiple countries in South East Asia region is a plus
• Good interpersonal & communication skills with professional style
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently
• Be proactive and comfortable working with both local and remote team members
• Be able to develop and maintain a network of contacts, both inside and outside the organization, with people who can supply information, assistance and support for work related goals
