Enterprise Backend Developer - GFT Technologies SE

About this role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team at GFT Technologies SE. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable and secure backend services.

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Ruby and associated technologies.
• Collaborate closely with the DevOps and Infra team to improve the technology stack for long-term engineering initiatives.
• Develop and maintain complex backend infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions for complex problems.
• Provide technical operational support to resolve customer issues.
• Maintain and improve existing codebase, ensuring it remains scalable, efficient, and secure.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the development process.

Requirements:
• At least 5 years of experience in a related position, with a strong focus on backend development.
• Proficiency in Ruby and associated technologies, including Postgres, Redis, and Kafka.
• Strong understanding of financial domain knowledge and blockchain technology.
• Experience in handling scalability, security, and performance optimization.
• Strong organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to juggle conflicting requirements from multiple stakeholders.
