Backend Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

We are a team to design, develop, maintain, and improve software for various ventures projects, i.e., projects that are adjacent to our core businesses and are bootstrapped fast with a lean team. You will be actively involved in the design of various components behind scalable applications, from frontend UI to backend infrastructure.

Responsibilities
• Develop, Maintain and improve the test frameworks, tools and technologies used by the organization to maintain a high quality bar.
• Setup development platform, maintain testing environment. Allow QA and developers to get feedback fast and accurate.
• Using code to solve technical challenges and shorten the test cycle through automation.
• Experience in Development, Test and Product Management to design and implement test and validation strategies.
• Contribute to robust, scalable, and high quality test automation solutions for functional, regression and performance testing
• Contribute to the building of a Continuous Integration (CI) environment and ongoing process improvement activities.
• Contribute to backend codebase to make business logic testable
• Create, execute and troubleshoot automated test scenarios across our systems.
• Identify required improvements in the test and development processes; make contributions to our automation tools that address specific needs.
• Maintain a high quality bar in a complex and constantly evolving workspace.
• Ensure the testing environment is scalable, efficient with up-to-date test case
• Ensure and assist the high test coverage and report properly
• Collaborate with developer and QA to maintain the platform stability and testability

Requirement
• Design and development skills in Python and/or Ruby / Go.
• Good knowledge of object oriented programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills.
• Experience in Backend server system / QA Platform
• Experience in working with different tools and frameworks like Github Actions, TestNG, Appium, Selenium, Cucumber etc.
• Experience in QA with mobile and web testing is a plus and automated test techniques with a strong focus on quality throughout the entire software development cycle.
• Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures and multi-threading concepts.
• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Passion for improving code quality through interaction with development team and being an active participant in code reviews.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills to work closely with other business team
• With knowledge to work across Linux, cloud platforms and micro-service based architecture (AWS is big plus)
• Experience working in an agile environment preferred.
