Expert Systems Architect

About the Role:

The Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Analyst to join its Market Systems Application team. This team is responsible for the design, implementation, and application support of the company's market systems, including trading and market data.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and support the implementation of various development and enhancement projects.
• Support systems analysis and development activities based on business and technical requirements.
• Prepare system documentation such as functional specifications, technical specifications, and user manuals.
• Ensure the provision of effective and efficient application support to production systems and discuss resolutions on production problems.
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
• A degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or a related discipline.
• At least five years of experience in system development.
• Working knowledge of RedHat Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Oracle/DB2 database.
• Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, React, C/C++, Linux shell scripting, and Python.
• Experience in cloud computing/AWS and Windows .NET would be an advantage.
• Good understanding of securities and/or derivatives industry.
• Good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in developing large-scale mission-critical systems would be an added advantage.
