A prominent financial organization is looking for a skilled Software Developer to join their forward-thinking Derivatives Risk Development team. This is an exciting chance to play a key role in a transformative project focused on upgrading their derivatives platform to improve trading and risk management functionalities.
Responsibilities
• Engage in all phases of projects, including requirement gathering, system design, software development, testing, and documentation.
• Design and implement scalable and high-availability systems using modern technologies in line with business needs.
• Work closely with both internal and offshore development teams to ensure effective system development and testing.
• Conduct quality reviews of software designs and code changes to maintain high standards and best practices.
• Effectively collaborate with various teams within the IT department to ensure project success.
• Investigate and address design defects and technical challenges that arise during the development process.
• Undertake any other assignments and projects as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, IT, or related fields.
• 6+ years of experience in software development for large scale systems, with a focus on developing and improving trading platforms.
• Understanding of quantitative finance concepts, including derivatives pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization is a definite advantage.
• Background in the financial sector or knowledge of mathematical concepts, such as Spline models and EWMA, is beneficial.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, C# or Python.
• Strong understanding of Linux, web applications, and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with quantitative finance principles, such as derivatives pricing, risk management, and portfolio optimization, is highly beneficial.
• Proficient in SDLC methodologies and documentation practices.
• Strong analytical skills, self-driven, and capable of working independently.
