Job Description:

Theo Quant is a virtual assets algorithmic quant firm that builds advanced trading strategies. We work exclusively with institutional clients and have been recognized as a top 10 finalist in both the Fintech Trailblazer Competition and the Hong Kong ICT Awards. Additionally, we collaborate with CUHK as an industry supervisor for its CEFAR program.

We are looking for a Backend Developer to support the development of our data-driven strategies. You will work closely with Quantitative Researchers and Virtual Assets Traders to build efficient backend systems for data processing, analytics, and trading algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain backend infrastructure to support cryptocurrency trading algorithms.

- Build APIs and systems to handle large datasets and optimize real-time data processing.

- Collaborate with Quantitative Researchers and a Virtual Assets Trader to ensure seamless integration and deployment of trading strategies.

- Design and implement data pipelines for efficient data handling and analytics.

- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of backend systems.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in building data pipelines.

- Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL).

- Experience with API development and microservices architecture.

- Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.

- Interest in cryptocurrency, algorithmic trading, and Web3 technologies.

- Excellent command of English.

Position Details:

- Start Date: Immediate

- Type: Full-Time, 1 year Contract

- Salary: HK$20,000 - HK$30,000/month

- Location: On-Site, Cyberport, Hong Kong
