Engineering Project Manager ( Toys )

About the Client:

Our client is primarily involved in the Toys product, specialized in electronics and functional toys, they are looking for a Engineering Project Manager for engineering assistance from suppliers for product development and debugging to satisfy aesthetic standards and product specs.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, you will be managing Engineering support is provided by vendors for product development and debugging in order to meet aesthetic and specification criteria.
• Encourage and expand the operations of RC Interactives.
• Complete all engineering support tasks at suppliers for product development and debugging in order to satisfy aesthetic and technical criteria.
• To meet the cost target, collaborate on the product design with the headquarters and vendors.
• Manage the procurement, cost negotiation, and consigned material and unique components.
• Help with cost, MOQ, and sourcing negotiations for new materials.
• As needed, offer technical assistance and debugging.
• Support the internal team with any concerns regarding production output and the examination of material authorization.
• Track the timetable and on-site assistance from the beginning of development to OBS.
• Support manufacturing as needed once production has begun.
• Fulfil ad hoc requests as they arise.

Candidate Profile:

For candidates that are interested, it would be great if you have the following qualifications.
• At least 5 years of experience in the (hard/soft toy) sector;
• A master's or bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field;
• Experience working for a multinational corporation is essential;
• Able to make frequent trips to the People's Republic of China when needed;
• Well-versed in the industry standards for both hard and soft toys in many regions.
