Business Analyst

• Tertiary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management
• Minimum 5 years of working experience relating to data & analytics
• Expert in using analytics & query tools e.g. Alteryx and data modelling techniques
• Business Analyst responsibilities
1）Provide analysis support services to various departments.
2）Design with business streams to frame business questions, perform analysis, design visualization of results, and derive analytical models to meet business objectives
3）Develop BI solutions including reports, scorecards and dashboards, leveraging data processing and visualization tools
4）Proactive in bring in new data & insight, support data model design and data definitions to ensure proper integration of internal and external sources
5）Manage enhancements on tools to advance the analytical power, including analytics requirement, testing and prepare training material
6）Train and facilitate business streams to conduct analysis to facilitate day-to-day decision making
7）Manage Data Quality by implementing quality metrics & regular monitoring, working on incidents to maintain accessibility and consistency of data as well as readiness of related analytics capabilities
8）Enforce data governance practices to uphold the value of the data access
• Job Qualifications
1）Tertiary education in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management or related disciplines;
2）Minimum 5 years of working experience relating to data & analytics with a good understanding of at least one of the following business areas: Operations, Customer management, Service Delivery, Sales & Marketing or Finance management
3）Expert in using analytics & query tools e.g. Alteryx and data modelling techniques
4）Proficiency in data visualization tools, ideally Qliksense, PowerBI
5）Proficiency in scripting languages e.g. Python, SQL, SAS
6）Team player with strong communication & interpersonal skills, able to share effectively across different business streams
7）Working knowledge in project management is a plus
