Role Introduction
Reports to: Operations Analytics & Insights Manager
The role is responsible for driving the usage of analytics and derivation of operational insights to be an integral part of all major changes in Airport Service Delivery (ASD). This includes end-to-end analytics enablement, such as new data / data source collection / acquisition, business problem framing, data model design, data analysis and visualization, data maintenance and governance. The role works closely with cross-functional teams to derive actionable insights and contribute to the overall analytics strategy.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain all dashboards across Airport Service Delivery (ASD), ensuring accessibility and clarity for stakeholders to understand performance metrics.
• Drive actionable insights by analyzing operational and customer data in collaboration with Airport Service Delivery (ASD) teams, influencing the design of airport processes based on derived insights.
• Collaborate with the Operations Analytics & Insights Manager and other department heads within ASD to understand transformation roadmaps and strategic priorities, identifying synergies and ensuring data requirements are met.
• Develop and implement strategic and technical roadmaps for descriptive and predictive analytical models across ASD to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with DGT and IT to develop a ground movement simulation / optimisation model that will be used to achieve operational readiness both pre and post implementation of the full Three-Runway-System at HKIA.
• Ensure quality, accessibility, consistency, and governance of data, overseeing the operation and readiness of related analytics systems and capabilities.
• Keep abreast of developments in analytics tools and identify opportunities for their application within ASD.
Requirements
• University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, Operations Research or related disciplines.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in data and analytics.
• Excellent analytical, planning, problem solving and organising skills with the ability to independently manage and prioritise multiple tasks within defined time constraints.
• Technical experience with leading mining tool sets such as Alteryx, QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI and SQLs and advance knowledge in data management.
• Experience and understand of system and process in the airline industry or airport operations would be an advantage.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Able to interact with people at all levels and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Curious, empathetic, open-minded, self-motivated, resourceful and strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong project management skills with solid experience in participating in cross departmental work.
• Independent and detail oriented.
• Strong command of both spoken and written English with fluency in Cantonese and Putonghua a plus.
