Purpose
• Lead database design and implementation projects
• Manage database security and ensure compliance with regulations
• Develop and implement database policies and procedures
• Manage database backups and disaster recovery plans
• Drive the overall database strategy for the organization
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Key Responsibilities
• Act as the Database team lead for management and support of FWD IT Database system, services availability, capacity and 7x24 hours support
• Ensure that databases meet business requirements and performance standards
• Stay up-to-date with compliance regulations and ensure that databases meet all requirements
• Continuously evaluate and improve the database infrastructure to meet business needs

Requirements
• At least 6 years of database administration experience gained in sizable organization
• Holder of professional qualification(s) preferred e.g. Azure, MCSE(Database Platform) and MongoDB certificates
• Hands-on experience in database installation, backup & recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, database monitoring, data replication and database encryption

• Proficient in database design and problem solving of database problem and incident management
• Able to work independently, self-motivated and willing to take challenges
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
