Background:

We are assisting a well-established IT company with operations in Hong Kong and Macau, to expand recruitment into Malaysia. The client specializes in software implementation and smart city initiatives, with clients including major utilities and transportation infrastructure companies in HK, as well as various government departments in HK and Macau.

We seek a skilled UI/UX Designer with a deep understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for creating intuitive, engaging user experiences. Responsibilities include creating wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into user-friendly designs. This role demands creativity, technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and a user-centric mindset.

Job Description:

• Gather and evaluate user requirements with product managers, business analysts, and engineers.
• Design intuitive user interfaces and interactions for web and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes to communicate design ideas.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine designs.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure design feasibility and consistency.
• Stay updated on industry trends and UI/UX design best practices.
• Advocate for the user throughout the design process.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business goals and objectives.
• Participate in tender prototyping or proof-of-concept exercises.
• Research, plan, and design user interfaces for web-based, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Communicate and collaborate with product owners on design requirements, user journeys, and interactions.
• Create next-generation digital experiences, including developing product concepts.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), Sketch, or similar software.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Figma is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Attention to detail and excellent time management.
• Self-motivated to learn and acquire new knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Portfolio of related design projects.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Visual Design, Internet Marketing, Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Working Experience:

• 2-4 years of proven experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role.
• Portfolio of related design projects

Salary Range:

MYR4,000-6,500 (depends on experience and qualification)

Candidates possessing greater experience and superior qualifications will be designated as Senior UI/UX Designer.
