Principal Architect, Data Science

As a Principal Architect, Data Science in Technology and Digital organization at Hong Kong Disneyland, you will work in the latest big data, cloud, and AI/ML technologies, responsible for leading the delivery, execution and sustainment of data projects, products and strategies across multiple lines of business. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead large programs and strategies from ideation, solution, estimation, implementation, to sustainment. Success will be measured by the value brought to our customers.
• Report to Chief Architect, Data Science to provide recommendation on data analytics solutions and infrastructure that supports and achieves business goals and targets across consumer journey.
• Foster relationships with business and technology partners, providing expertise on the use of data to promote value, and asserting influence through expertise and collaboration.
• Facilitate business, technical and leadership discussions with large and diverse groups.
• Oversee executive-level status reporting, accomplishments and escalation of issues.
• Cooperate with multiple delivery teams consisting of Business Managers, Product Managers, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Project Managers in a matrixed environment.
• Oversee technical analysis, effort/cost estimation and system design, evaluating architectural fit and compliance, resource schedules, delivery milestones, and overall product quality.
• Implement an Agile methodology in close collaboration with our Product Management organization.
• Manage budget while working with business, technical and finance teams to prioritize long-term investment plan on data.
• Manage a variety of diverse requests, priorities, and activities.
• Develop team to maximize growth, morale and culture.

Basic Qualifications:
• 15 years of experience in hospitality technology with exposure on different data touch point across consumer journey.
• Experience in tourism industry and leading programs, projects, products and strategies across multiple lines of business.
• Exposure in major digital ecosystems (Search Engine, Social Media, Instant Messaging Tool, CRM) in China and Asia.
• Hands-on experience solving complex problems by process re-engineering, automation, data science or machine learning.
• Experience with Product Management practices in an agile environment.
• Experience leading discovery with partners to identify business requirements and translate to technical teams.
• Comfortable with both technical and business responsibilities.
• Experience providing leadership and technical mentorship to team members.
• Architecture and engineering skills with a focus on great engineering practices is a plus.
• A comfort level with complex and matrixed organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
