iOS Lead Engineer

Viu is a leading pan-regional over-the-top (“OTT”) video streaming service available in 16 markets across Asia, the Middle East, and South Africa. It offers fresh premium TV series, movies, and lifestyle programmes, in different genres from top content providers and produces premium original productions under the brand “Viu Original”. Viu-ers can access the service on the web by logging into www.viu.com and via the Viu app (available for free on App Store and Google Play) on connected devices such as smartphones, tablets and selected smart TVs.

Responsibilities
• Manage a team of iOS engineers, providing guidance, hands on technical leadership, and mentorship to ensure the team's growth and success.
• Work together with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Provide technical proposals and documentation for deliver the high-level product requirement.
• Perform code reviews
• Prioritize and manage sprint tasks for teams
• Perform troubleshooting for ongoing production issues
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices in iOS app development

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of full-time iOS development experience, experience in leadership or management role is a advantage.
• Proven experience in complex projects, with a deep understanding of software and iOS applications development methodologies.
• Proficiency in Swift, Objective-C, UIKit and a solid understanding of iOS development best practices.
• Familiarity with MVVM architecture
• Proficiency in performance monitoring tools, such as Firebase, Google Analytics
• Proficiency in Git and familiarity with branching models such as Git-flow.
• Proficiency in Mobile app submission procedures.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira is a plus
• Experience with CICD tools such as Jenkins is a plus
• Good command in both written and spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
