Responsibilities:
Maintain Linux Systems: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of Linux servers, PaaS, IaaS, and database servers. Manage and monitor system performance, availability, and reliability.
Production Issue Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, providing detailed reports and suggesting effective solutions to peers and team members to prevent recurrence.
Database Management: Install, configure, and maintain database clusters. Perform regular backups and ensure the recovery of data in case of failures.
System Upgrades and Patching: Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain scripts for system automation, monitoring, and maintenance tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and support staff, to ensure seamless integration and operation of systems.
Security Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements to protect systems and data from unauthorized access and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux system administration and support.
Strong knowledge of PaaS, IaaS, and database management.
Proficient in MySQL and MSSQL.
Proficient in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
Experience with system monitoring tools and automation frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
Able to work with cutting-edge technologies.
One year renewable contract would be provided to successful candidates.
