Azure Solution Architect

Job Purpose
• Solution Architect is the partner of Enterprise Architect, Business Analyst and Development team to define the technical requirements, principles and models that generally guide all solution decisions for the IT ecosystem.
• Solution Architect’s role is to analyse and translate business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions which integrate across applications, systems and platforms to achieve business objectives.
• Solution Architect looks across applications, and consider infrastructure, to develop roadmaps that outline how solutions will be structure in the future.

Responsibilities
• To liaise with business in new technology adoption to achieve business benefits
• Proactively delivers business values by acting as the lead for the translation of business objectives and requirements into functional solutions - to engage business partners and lead brainstorming sessions and identify areas for process improvements.
• Handles fast-paced shifts in which constant communication with key stakeholders is essential, and when working with business partners they have to identify new opportunities by technology solution and determine the source of budget and manpower.
• To support Enterprise Architect and Senior Solution Architect in defining the roadmap of technology solution to achieve long term technology strategy.

Qualifications, Training and Experience
• Minimum 8 years of application/infrastructure design experience, in particular 3 years of being Solution Architect of medium to large size of project implementation in Azure Cloud
• Minimum 3 years of experience in team management
• With insurance/health care industrial background will be an advantage
• Experience in GCP will be an advantage
• Sound knowledge on IT application architecture, design, methodologies across multiple platforms – Microsoft Windows, Linux, Cloud Environment
• Solid experience in application architecture modelling, data architecture modelling, and solution portfolio management
• Ability to deliver technical specification and Visio architecture diagram
• With vendor management skills to get the best solutions and proposal from vendors.
• Solid experience in Agile delivery methodology and DevOps
• Should have good grip on non-functional areas like information security, performance, scalability studies, data privacy etc
• Good presentation and communication skills
• Knowledge in infrastructure and security architecture will be an advantage
• Fluent in English and Cantonese (Not Mandatory) communications
