Cloud Engineering & Platform Lead (Cantonese preferred)

This role is responsible for performing proactive maintenance, incident and problem resolution, service request fulfilment, change preparation and implementation to hybrid computing environment, specifically Cloud platform on AWS & Azure and On-Premise platform. This role also serves as a subject matter expert for developing and deploying applications or systems on Storage & Backup aaS, IaaS, APaaS and hybrid computing environment.

Responsibilities -

Ensures Hybrid IT infrastructure is properly patched, monitored, and maintained.

•Manage updates and changes within the Hybrid IT infrastructure, ensuring applications are up to date with security requirements.

•WorkcloselywiththeInfraarchitectureteamtohelpshapeacleartechnologylifecycle strategy for Hybrid IT infrastructure.

•Actively participates in disaster recovery efforts, ensuring redundancy of all cloud and platforms to mitigate major business losses in the event of disaster outages.

•Monitor system healthiness and usage,

responsible for proposing and implementing changes to improve operational efficiencies.

•DeterminehowtoleverageenablingtechnologiestoimplementinnovativeHybridIT infrastructure solutions to support the business.

•Assist and help as required with the resolution of complex tier 3 operational incidents, and determine the root cause of the problem.

•Scheduleandactivelymanagebusinessasusualchangeswithinthehybridcomputing environment to deliver a best in class level of successful change.

Communicate the proposed design solutions to the stakeholders, and help to guide decisionsregardingtrade-offsthatmayimpacttherequirementordeliverytimescales for cloud and platforms solutions.

•Keep abreast of latest Hybrid IT infrastructure technology trends and technologiesto allow these to be levered to the business benefit

•Develop solutions for continuously monitoring and alerting around uptime and performance. Logging and data analysis is the heart of maintaining highly reliable systems.

•Collaborate with other IT domains to drive business and technology innovation.

•ComplyandfollowITILframeworkandprocessessuchasimplementationandongoing improvement of Incident, Change, Problem, Capacity and Availability management process.

•Available to provide 24/7 support as required.

Requirements _

Technical degree holder with minimum of 6 years IT experience, at least 3 years of IT Infrastructure experience.

•Must have proven technical experience of working in a complex Hybrid IT infrastructure environment especially on storage, backup, server OS and middleware components.

•Experience and Proficient understanding of cloud infrastructure services (AWS, Azure).

•Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally, and in the written form, to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver technical internal presentations.

•Ability to work well with others and as part of a technical team.

•Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; ability to identify patterns and generate informed ideas.

•Focus on the business and end user’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour.

•Ability and willingness to proactively accept, and drive, change to accomplish positive outcomes.

•Ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way.

•Must have knowledge of how to lever technology to reduce operational costs and delivery business innovation in a fast moving and dynamic industry sector.

•Professional competency in at least one technical specialization, with broad understanding of other current and emerging technologies

DESIRED SKILLS

•Server & IaaS

oHybrid Cloud technologies and products, AIX/Solaris Unix/Linux/Windows server platforms, VMWare ESX or other hypervisors, Redhat Ansible.

oCloud technologies (AWS & Azure) such as EC2 and VM, cloud watch.

•Application Platform – various web, application, content caching, middleware platforms, SOA technologies and products, Content delivery network.

•Storage and Backup

oWorking experience with Cloud technologies (AWS & Azure) such as AWS backup, Azure VM backup, Azure Synapse and ADLS, AWS FSX for OnTap.

oExperience in FC SAN Fabric (Brocade), FC and iSCSI SAN Storage (Hitachi G series & E Series, Pure Storage, HPE 3PAR) and NAS Storage (NetApp FAS Series, Hitachi HNAS & EVS) storage administration.

•ITIL framework and processes is preferable
