Senior Java Developer / Machine Learning

The Java Senior Developer will play a major role in developing, deploying and supporting Lamplight Applications. As a key member of our development team, you will develop the next-generation technology to understand what is said over the web, using Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing. Through the application of existing skills and continuous learning you, the team and the company will bring the lamplight product to the highest level. The successful applicant will work closely with our CTO and research institutions working on cutting-edge NLP and machine learning technology.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cutting edge research in Machine Learning applications / Natural Language processing.
• Develop Java services performing data processing, including data transformation, filtering and multi-lingual Natural Language Processing.
• Automate build and test processes for Java and NodeJS services.
• Perform end-to-end system integration.
• Continuously improve the Lamplight product and internal processes.

Qualifications:

Mandatory Qualifications

Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience in Java development, including machine learning application development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal education in programming.
• Multi-lingual (particularly Cantonese and/or Mandarin).

Language requirements:

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Specific requirements:

Relocation to HK possible for successful candidates.
